HCS Spring Community Conversations to Include Information About Upcoming E-SPLOST VII Vote

Henry County Schools invites students, families, and community members to participate in the district’s spring “Community Conversations” across all 10 school clusters.

In addition to receiving updates from all cluster elementary, middle, and high schools, as well as viewing various student displays and performances, participants will learn more about the proposed Education - Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax (E-SPLOST) referendum.

The Henry County Board of Education unanimously approved a resolution to enable voters to continue E-SPLOST for an additional five years to fund the district’s education-related capital projects. The referendum for Henry County’s seventh E-SPLOST will appear on the ballot for the May 19, 2026, General Primary Election/Nonpartisan Election.

HCS prioritizes community engagement, and feedback from an online survey and numerous community meetings in fall 2025 informed the E-SPLOST VII project list. The district presented an initial project summary for public review in December and accepted public comment through early January.

Interested stakeholders are once again invited to learn more about the district’s planned capital projects, including safety and security enhancements, transportation upgrades, renovations to existing schools and facilities, and the expansion of instructional resources.

HCS will host one session in each of the 10 clusters, beginning March 10, with the final session scheduled for March 26 as follows:

  • Eagle’s Landing Cluster: Tuesday, March 10, 5:30 p.m., at Eagle’s Landing Middle School
